X Street Uganda is a Non profit Organization working with at risk young People in Uganda. X-SUBA helps restore the hope of vulnerable children living in their country by using the power of Basketball to inspire young people to live positive and productive lives for their communities, country and for themselves.
X Street Uganda was started by Paul Okongo and Agaba Kenneth, September of 2012 in the Walukuba-Masese division of Jinja, Uganda. The group’s mission is to support street children through basketball engaging them and helping them fight despair and self-pity, by using sport as the power to inspire and unite people.
X Street Uganda now runs three programs; The Sports program spear headed by basketball, Life skills and the Art program that involves painting & dancing, they are also getting ready to launch a beads project in the near future.
X Street Uganda have a wide range of projects running, and need people who are interested to join them in supporting children and community developments. They have volunteer opportunities available in the different projects. You can also support their projects through donation, technical assistance or even spreading the word!
